Not only do we create our own programming, but we regularly collaborate with several organizations to create programming for children and adults alike.
For example, Camp Critters is our Children’s Camp and was created in conjunction with the University of Denver’s Institute for Human-Animal Connection. Sarah Bexell, a professor at DU, has developed a program in China working with panda bears. She has educated our staff on her program and has gifted the program to Zoology Foundation where it has been modified to work with our breeds of animals. The kids get hands-on on experience with the critters at our sanctuary.
Many of you know the healing power of animals first hand. The power in those unspoken words between animal and human. Our Program Director, Maggie Lantzy also works with outside groups to establish activities for at-risk youth or enrichment for any group that would like to experience our journey. If you are involved in an organization or an educator, please reach out and let’s see what we can come up with to support your efforts!
Kindness towards animals leads to kindness to humans; it is all interlaced
