Zoology Foundations not only creates programming used for ZoFo Kids, but we regularly collaborate with other organization to create programming to fit their needs.
For example, Camp Critters is our Children’s Camp and was created in conjunction with the University of Denver’s Institute for Human-Animal Connection. Sarah Bexell, a professor at DU, has developed a program in China working with panda bears. She has educated our staff on her program and has gifted the program to Zoology Foundation where it has been modified to work with our breeds of animals. The kids get hands-on on experience with the critters at our sanctuary.
Many of you know the healing power of animals first hand. The power in those unspoken words between animal and human. We welcome the opportunity to extend our sanctuary and staff to work in conjunction with other organizations to establish activities for at-risk youth or enrichment for any group that would like to experience this incredible journey we call “our sanctuary”. If you are involved in an organization or area an educator, please reach out and let’s see what we can come up with to support our mutual efforts!
Kindness towards animals leads to kindness to humans; it is all interlaced.
