Partner With Us

Partnering with other non-profit organizations is a rewarding, powerful part of the work we do at the Zoology Foundation.

The combined forces of non-profits looking to make similar changes in the world is an incredible thing to witness, and we deeply appreciate being part of that. Below are three examples of partnerships we are currently active in, so you can get a taste for how our partnerships work.

Wellspring Community:

At Wellspring Community, their work involves “empowering the lives of adults with special needs” started in 2017 with one weekly class at Zoology Foundation, and that group of young adults has now graduated to volunteering a couple hours per week with our animals.  Our goal is to eventually have the participants host tours for younger children with special needs, and help spread the word about humane living.

Institute for Human-Animal Connection:

ZoFo is proud to partner with the Institute for Human-Animal Connection (IHAC) at the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social Work.  IHAC “intentionally elevates the value of the living world and the interrelationship and health of people, other animals and the environment. This is accomplished through natural and social science-informed education, applied knowledge, research and advocacy, with an ethical regard for all species.”  Through experiential classroom experiences for IHAC’s Masters School of Social Work and online students, research studies, and humane education collaboration, ZoFo and IHAC work together to bring the human-animal bond and environmental concerns to our followers.

Stone Canyon Outdoor EdVentures:

Our partnership with Stone Canyon Outdoor EdVentures has produced a great new crossover camp for youth on Douglas County school breaks.  Stone Canyon “provide[s] innovative educational and recreational experiences that empower clients to become stewards of their community and environment.”  Youth attending our joint camp spend the morning at ZoFo’s sanctuary and afternoons at Stone Canyon. The goal of the camp is to provide a fun, adventurous, and educational opportunity for youth in which they participate in activities rooted in humane and environmental education, all while having a great time!

If you’re ready to start a partnership or create a collaboration with ZoFo, give us a call or send an e-mail today. We’d love to discuss the possibility of creating something world-changing with you.

We love our STARS!

“Our Wellspring STARS always look forward to visiting the animals and staff at the Zoology Foundation for our Zoology 101 and 102 classes. With each visit they witness the positive impact they can have in the lives of others and the environment. When the STARS experience this partnership they are offered unique opportunities in which they thrive and always leave with a smile.”
